EXPOCARGA 2023 will take place between November 30 and December 3, 2023 at the Punta del Este Convention Center, and will feature multiple events related to transportation (2 Forums: PROTRANSPORTE and MOBILIDADE 4.0), launches, test drives of trucks, conventional and electric buses and utility vehicles, among other activities.
In a strategic agreement signed between the management of EXPOCARGA and the management of United School Transport, both organizations have committed to joining forces to carry out a Test Drive of conventional and electric vehicles specifically designed for transporting these types of vehicles (*The minimum number of brands/vehicles required for confirmation of the event is 3 units) . The brands present at the exhibition will be able to showcase their vehicles and provide an overview of the offer available on the market.
In this way, the more than 300 TEU members will arrive in groups at EXPOCARGA, with a space specially designed so that transporters can obtain first-hand the greatest amount of information available about the brands, in addition to having the opportunity to drive the vehicle on a circuit designed by the organization.
It should be noted that the organization of EXPOCARGA will try to incorporate public and private organizations and companies that can also inform school transporters about the existing incentive instruments to improve the safety of the units and the financing for the change of vehicles, as well as the feasibility of adopting electric vehicles.
About the event
The event was declared of National Interest by the Presidency of the Republic, and Ministerial by MTOP, MIEM, MEF, MINTUR and Environment, in addition to having obtained the Declaration of Interest from UNASEV, and Municipal by the Mayor of Maldonado and the Municipality of Punta el Este.
At the same time, we have the institutional support of the Intersindical de Transporte de Cargas (ITPC), the Chamber of Transport of Uruguay (CTU), ANETRA (National Association of Road Transport Companies by Bus), UTFU (Union of Cargo Transporters of Uruguay), TEU (United School Transport), CATIDU (International Chamber of Land Transport of Uruguay), CNCS (Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay), Exporters Union (UE), Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU), CALOG (Uruguayan Chamber of Logistics), CZF (Chamber of Free Zones of Uruguay), Uruguayan Association of Renewable Energies (AUDER), Uruguayan Association of Roads, Inter-American Chamber of Transport (CIT) and CINOI (Center for Innovation in Industrial Organization of the UM).
In addition, two companies with a long history in Uruguay, DUCSA and GRUPO AYALA, are joining EXPOCARGA 2023 as PLATINUM sponsors. Thus, ANCAP lubricants and the Premium Chevron and TEXACO lines from Ducsa, and Ayala and Luxy from Grupo Ayala, are once again part of the great Uruguayan transport festival.
What's coming up: Test Drive and e-Test Drive
The 2023 edition brings some surprises, including the TEST DRIVE | EXPOCARGA EXPERIENCE 2023, an exclusive test of vehicles from the country's main automakers.
As part of EXPOCARGA 2023 Experience, truck, bus and utility vehicle brands, in two Driving Test versions, “Conventional Vehicles” and “eEXPERIENCE” (electric, hybrid, etc.) will have the opportunity to offer driving tests to interested visitors. An ideal opportunity to showcase the latest vehicle innovations in action.
Working
Another aspect that will be highlighted in the 2023 edition will be the holding of launches, courses, private events (for companies, associations, unions, etc.), in one of the four rooms for 250 people that the organization has. In addition, promotions of products and services will also be encouraged, with emphasis on those that encourage the public to attend.
Visitors, experts, industry professionals and the media will find an ideal platform to generate business, opportunities and strategic alliances, accessing the most representative national and international companies in the sector that seek to promote their products and services through their stands.
EXPOCARGA will bring together large, medium and small suppliers from the most diverse sectors, and part of our objective will be to publicize the new trends in electric mobility, digitalization and urban logistics, both in commercial vehicle and bus manufacturers, as well as in the trailer sector and in the rest of numerous distributors.
