During EXPOCARGA 2023, we spoke with Leandro Salerno (Business Des.) and Diego Zéffiro (Director) of Transport CDC and TRANSJOVEM.
Tell us a little about the origins of your transport company.
Diego: I am part of the CDC transportation board. CDC is a company that has been in the refrigerated cargo market for 40 years and now we are starting a new project which is bulk cargo, aggregates and grains.
In these 40 years, we have been involved with Uruguay for a long time, having worked here for 20 years, all with refrigerated cargo. We are grateful to Uruguay for welcoming us, for giving us the opportunity to continue growing, and we want to accompany it.
Uruguay has become a logistics hub with a great future, we see this and we are interested in contributing more and growing within Uruguay.
Why did you decide to come to EXPOCARGA?
Leandro: We researched the previous version of the Expo and the references told us that it was very good; we were keen to participate and this time we decided to accompany them and invest heavily in this market that we have been developing for a few years, with an increasingly larger presence, so that they get to know us and bring them news.
As Diego commented, it is to present the diversification of our services, show them all our potential and the professional structure we have to achieve the best results and join this strong movement that is happening in Uruguay.
On the other side of the border and also in the operations we carry out between Uruguay and Brazil, and Uruguay and Argentina.
What is the difference for a customer who is not familiar with CDC? I want you to tell us why you trust your services to an operator like CDC.
Leandro: We are a company that currently has 210 of our own units, all of which are refrigerated. We are a small structure, with strong agility and we are very focused. For example, we are currently being certified by the OAS, both in Argentina and in Brazil.
In Brazil, our company is called TRANSJOVEM; We are doing all the training in parallel and working, that is, what sets us apart the most is the quick response and we have very good monitoring, everything is satellite and personalized service.
Diego: I would also like to add that in addition to all this innovation, we are investing every day and thinking about growing, providing better results to our customers, without neglecting the values that set us apart, which are commitment, the nobility of the company and customer loyalty, which is what we respect, what has accompanied us in these 40 years in the market.
